Mr. Jimmy Lee, IW Group VP of Public Relations, passed along a job description he received from Mr. Jeremy Cohen, director of Walker Talent Group LLC. Walker Talent Group is assisting Coda Automotive in a search for a VP – Public Relations.

Based in Santa Monica, Calif., Coda will be the first fully electric car manufacturer to have an affordable, mainstream, four-door sedan to the U.S. market next year. The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) seeks a senior communications and marketing specialist to direct all of HRC's communications and marketing needs. Working closely with the senior leadership, this person will help design, shape and execute a comprehensive, multi-faceted communications and marketing program that maintains and augments HRC and the HRC Foundation’s position as the leading lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization in America. The individual assuming this position will be responsible for developing and executing high-impact creative ideas designed to achieve effective and strategic long-term positioning and messaging. This executive will manage HRC communications and marketing activities, including litigation communications, issues management, brand development, media relations, advertising, collateral development, web communications and social media campaigns, crisis and litigation communications, and internal communications. The incumbent will be responsible for generating strong positive press coverage and will oversees the quality and consistency of message in all organizational materials including news releases, website, quarterly magazine, newsletters, advertising and marketing collateral materials. The successful candidate must have the ability to manage information in a highly professional manner, frame issues for print, television and web -- and present such stories. This individual will also direct a team of media and marketing professionals, as well as a team of publications specialists.

Job Description

The California HealthCare Foundation is an independent philanthropy committed to improving the way health care is delivered and financed in California.

The Communications Officer creates and implements communications strategies and plans for the Foundation. The Communications Officer is assigned to the Better Chronic Disease Care program area and has responsibility for managing all communications and publications-related activities for that area. These activities include a full range of strategic and tactical communications services and support; writing and editing of press releases and other documents; and outreach to appropriate audiences. While this position will interface regularly with staff for the specific program area, an estimated 25% of his or her time will be devoted to other, specific communications activities (noted below). Scope projects and deliverables, develop internal and outsourced staffing responsibilities, cross-functional team work flow, and production process planning and implementation. Participate as a member of the Information Technology Team and other advisory groups. This position reports to the Director of Publishing and Communications.
